sRedList
sRedList: a new tool for rapid and effective Red List assessments
The sRedList tool is a user-friendly web-interface developed by a team of Red List practitioners and ecological modellers, the sRedList working group, in collaboration with Life Watch Italy, to support assessors in calculating and informing key Red List assessment parameters. For example, it will allow you to download and filter occurrence records, to create distribution maps, to calculate area of occupancy (AOO), to map trends in area of habitat or forest cover, to extract lists of countries of occurrence and habitat preferences, or to assess severe fragmentation. The objective is to streamline the assessment procedure while providing easy-access to scientific data and methods to best inform your assessments and reassessments. It is accessible to all groups, although several steps are only relevant for terrestrial and freshwater species.
To discover more, you can check the information and documentation available on the platform home page and register to access the tool.
A series of video tutorials and two webinars on how to use sRedList are available for viewing.
